Gold filled bezels are actually made of a soft brass base metal which is easily dinged. As a result it's very rare to find one that doesn't show some age. Up close the 10kt gold-filled bezel has some history showing in the form of dings on its surfaces, and a 1/8 inch long edge of the top right lug that shows wear. I've tried to show the true condition of the watch with these photos.

While the photos are useful, they tend to magnify details which are not very noticeable at arms length.

During the restoration process the lugs were straightened and the bezel was buffed to restore its luster. Now the watch looks like a toddler instead of a 44 year old. Just right for an every day watch.

The signature feature of a 214 is its back cover.

*Straight graining on the flat surface has been restored.
*Circular graining on the setting stem and battery hatch has been restored.
*All beveled edges have been buffed mirror bright, including the threaded lock ring.
*The cover is engraved (BULOVA) (WATERPROOF) (PATENTED) (STAINLESS STEEL) (10KT GOLD FILLED BEZEL) (J58818-M7)
*The engraving is crisp and the watch is not personalized.

*Sporting a new brown OEM Accutron Lizard Band with gold-tone buckle. The watch will fit up to an 8 inch circumference wrist.

This handsome timepiece has been fully serviced. The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted to work perfectly and keep accurate time with a readily available #387S or #394 1.5v silver oxide battery.
