Wanted: Bulova Accutron Model 214 Tuning Fork Wristwatches,
Parts, Accessories, Tools, and Ephemera.
I buy 214's in any condition, working or not. Also need Accutron watch crystals, dials, and watchbands with the Accutron tuning fork logo. If you have a 60's or 70's Accutron case or outer cardboard box, owners booklet, hang tag, battery hatch coin, facts booklet, service manual, etc., please let me know.
Please make sure that your watch is a model 214. The 214 is
set from the rear of the case (see photo) by lifting a spring loaded
"C" shaped lever. Also on the rear of the case there is a slotted
hatch cover which unscrews to access the battery. If the back of your watch is
similar to the one in the photo please contact me.

Great site! I've learned very much about "our beloved 214" by you. I've recently bought a 214. It's fitted with a convex (hollow) chapter ring and gold (coloured?) hands. The hour markings on the chapter ring are not illuminated painted but "grinded" hollow showing the base material of the ring, probably brass. The case type was delivered as factory spaceview by Bulova. The crystal has illuminated painted signs. Bulova symbol, hour markings at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock and in the lower left quadrant the text "Bulova" and "accutron". Since it is not a typical conversion I thought it was Factory Spaceview but I read that all those were delivered with white hands. Is my 214 a factory Spaceview? I hope you are able to put my mind at rest;-)! Regards, Steven Stam, Leiden, Holland. sstam@3dcadnology.nl
Hi, I know little about Accutrons. I have quite a few vintage bulova bands still in their cases. The tuning fork symbol is on the case. Does this mean they are for or will fit Accutron watches? Or is the tuning fork symbol the Bulova symbol? They are flex bands and they just say Bulova on them. Would really appreciate some help. Thanks
Early Accutrons never came with expansion type bracelets and they always had the Accutron logo impressed on them.

Help with identification please. I have a 214 M6 which I believe to be an "Astronaut". My dad, an electrician, always called it an astronaut watch and wore it for about thirty years until he passed it on to me. I remember that he broke the crystal while at work and damaged the hands as well. The result is that the replacement hands are a bright yellow as are the markings on the newer crystal. I am certain that the original had hands made of metal filled with luminous pale green material and the crystal also had the paler green markings (as seen on the backgroun of this page). So, the question is, is it possible to verify my fading memory and prove this was the case? Also, if my memory is verified, can it be restored to the original?
Who in the Cincinnati area could/should restore my 1961 accutron?
Hello! I have a watch brand, which it belong to my grandmother, that are 14k, Bulova, N4, and the number is 29488. My grandmother brought it for 2,500 dollar several year ago but it was made about 35 year ago. I am sure it is very valueable and I don't know how much will it cost today if my grandmother really want to sell this watch brand!? Please contact me at vinnymdp@hotmail.com if you have any idea about this watch brand that I am talking about!
Now I have my first Accutron Spaceview 214, but what a Spaceview! It is a round M5 Swiss 18kt solid gold, like new with a new Bulova brown lizard strap. In this watch everything you see is 18kt solid gold, case, hands, ring, back, battery Hatch, even the Bulova buckle is marked 750. I'm happy and I had to tell everybody on this board. I have to enter a second comment: I was looking into the Ebay.de Internet Site and I see one of the so many Spaceview Fakes for sale at an auction. Before bidding, I send a message to the guy, asking: "Please state if this is an original Spaceview Accutron or a converted Bulova Accutron with ordinary dial. Thanks". Later I get this: ""Hey, it is an Bulova Accutron No. 1-649011MB EW by "". To this short message, I answered: ""From your answer now I know that is a "converted Spaceview", in other words a "fake" but don't worry, there are more fakes around than "Original Spaceviews" but I wont bid. Thanks and, by the way; maybe the Number is 1-649011 M8 (MB stays for Mercedes Benz, best car in the world!) M8 stays for 1968 by "" Simply, I had to tell you the story. p.valdoni@tin.it
I just brought an acutron 26C02 Gemini model, while the watch looks good with the leather band that came with it, the leather band doesn't look good wearing a suit, is there are bulova metalic band that goes well with that model watch? rrousse1@comcast.net
Greetings! I have a swiss made 214 railroad approved bulova accutron with blue numbers (instead of red ones) on the inner 24 hour dial. I purchased it from a seller in Europe a few years ago primarily because I've never seen one with blue numbers before. Case is stainless steel. I believe it is a 1964 or 1966 model. Anyone know details of this watch? Is it considered rare and sought after by collectors? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Heep email: chevyusa1@hotmail.com
Swiss RR's are not seen often.
HI, I HAVE A 71003 ACCUTRON 214 MO TU TONE. IM LOOKING FOR THE ORIGINAL BRACELET. IF ANYONE KNOWS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. verdugo512@aol.com
In view of the 35th Anniversary of the Moon Landing and its importance to Accutron buffs, I was wondering if anyone was familiar with an "Accutron 3D Post Card" that was sent to many Accutron Dealers by Bulova's V.P. of Sales back in July 1969. This post card celebrated the lunar landing feat and the fact that an Accutron mechanism was embedded into instrumentation that was left on the Moon to provide accurate timing of many automated scientific experiments on the moon's surface for up to a year. The post card was post marked from Cape Canaveral, FL on July 24th, 1969. It contained a six cent cancelled stamp of Apollo 8 and a 3D depiction of the Lunar Lander on the moon's surface. As you may have guessed, I have this post card as part of my Accutron collection which includes quite a few Accutron and Bulova-licensed tuning fork watches. I'm wearing Accutron 1960 era watches all week to commemorate Bulova's contribution to America's space program. Thanks, John from Baltimore
I have a 1968 Accutron I purchased in Germany in the PX while in the Army. I have worn it nearly every day since I've had it. It is still in great shape and I plan to keep it forever. I recently learned there is a brand new version on the market and I would like to know more about it and where it can be purchased and a fair market price for it. Please email me at dfair@freeway.net

I have an Accutron Deep Sea dive watch and have not seen another like it anywhere. It is stainless steel and the bezel is under the crystal. I would be curious if anyone could tell me more about it and the possible value of it. The model number on it is 150924 Deep Sea. The watch was not new when I acquired it in 1973. wavernj@earthlink.net

Bummer. I have a funky 218 Mark II Astronaut (N1) with an original ss Champion band. At the points where the band connects to the watch, there are pin 'covers' (like little steel jackets) and over the years they've become loose. I tried to 'tighten' one of the covers last night with a pair of pliers and made a mess of it. I don't know if the cover can be re-shaped to work again, or if there's a place to buy a new cover or complete ss Champion band. Can anyone help? Many thanks, David Brown daytonax2001@yahoo.co
I have an accutron that was serviced by bulova but they could not fix the original movement so they put a cheap fix in the case. I was not able to get the old movement back they said they lost it. How can I get a new/used accutron movement? How do I determine the model it is a M3? josephsheffer@hotmail.com
I have an older Accutron "Astronaut" model Accutron Black face with GMT hand (24hour) and bezel all in Stainless Steel . It say's M6 and then a serial number beginning with"B". Can you tell me about it, it runs excellent and is in fantastic shape. Being in a drawer I guess that would keep it fresh looking. Please email me with any info. Please tell me estimated values and rarity as well. Thanks-Jim jhaworth@worldnet.att.net

Hi. I am trying to find out about my dad's old accutron. It is oval, wider than taller. It has 14 kt, stamped on the back, and looks like a gold case. serial num: 30556 date code n4, written: J ( large) bulova n4. it has the date window. second hand is straight, min and hour hand look like little tuning forks. It has ( i was always told), a blue lapis face. accutron is wriiten at the top, a little tuning fork at the bottom. I am pretty sure he bought it in hong kong. It was running last year, but not now. thanks

The consensus is that it's the first watch on this 1971 Accutron ad. Click on the thumbnail image to enlarge.

Hi, My wife gave me a bulova accutron for xmas. It is the 14k gold case variety. The number on the back is M6. On the front I see the tuning fork but no dial. Instead there is a naked gold movement blank. I am wondering whether this watch was actually made like that or perhaps the orignial gold dial has been removed. Any ideas? jetfamily@yahoo.com the other number on the watch back is: K05177 Thank you
